2 Corinthians 5:17-19
“17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” NIV
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you are a new creation and God has forgiven you of your sins. Throughout your life the enemy will constantly try to fill your mind with lies that you are not forgiven. The enemy will make you feel condemned, and will try to convince you that you are guilty because he knows that if you feel ashamed and unworthy of God’s love that you will run from God just like Adam did in the garden. Marian Jordan founder of Redeemed Girls Ministries said “If the enemy can do anything, he can lie to you. But you have a choice whether or not you’re going to agree with him or you’re going to agree with God who gave you the power, gives you the power to overcome.” Do not believe the lies of the enemy. We all have things that we struggle with, but God is a patient, merciful, and loving God. God knows that our relationship with Him takes a lifetime and that we are going to sin many times throughout. If we are truly sorry and confess our sins to God in prayer He is faithful to keep His promises, and one of His promises is Salvation through Jesus Christ. Phillippians 1:6 says “6 being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Going back to 2 Corinthians 5:17-19 God has made you a new creation in Jesus Christ. Going into Phillipians 1:6 After God has made you a new creation He will continue to help you grow and live for Him your whole life until the day of Christ Jesus. God created you for a reason and even though you will make mistakes God will forgive you and continue to work through you because Jesus Christ payed the price for our sins by dying on the cross. Jesus took our punishment and now through Him we are forgiven.
