Forgiven Stretched Out Hand (Accompanying Song: Love Has Come For Me By Colton Dixon)

The day that we realize we can’t save ourselves is the day we realize how much we need God. God will meet you where you are. If you’re waiting until you get fixed up to come to God, then you’ve got it all wrong. You can’t fix yourself up before you come to God. Without God it is impossible to be anything than our human nature. You have to just come to Him, mess and all, surrendering your life and all of those troubles to God. God wants you, He loves you, and He wants the best for you. The penalty of sin is death, physical and spiritual. That punishment was ours, but God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, so that we could be forgiven. So that we could live with Him for all of eternity. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior is the biggest and best decision you’ll ever make. You just have to turn to Him, admit that you are a sinner, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and ask Him to come into your heart to be your Lord and Savior. His hand is stretched out to you, all you have to do is take it.

John 3:16-21
“16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”

Romans 10:9
“9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Matthew 16:24-27
“24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.”

Romans 6:1-14
Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ
’6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.”
