“Agree with God that you have sinned and leave the sin before Him. Then guard yourself from entering into that sin pattern again. Learn a valuable lesson, but do not continue to beat yourself with condemnation. Jesus paid for your sins at Calvary. Do not continue to allow yourself or the enemy to defeat you with remembering a sin once you have confessed it to God and those you have offended. There may be consequences of your sin, but you do not have to live with the guilt of it. Even though you have been freed from guilt by confession, do not use it as an opportunity to continue in sin or to leave yourself open for temptation. Continue to choose freedom over sin’s mastery. Lay aside every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles you and run with endurance the race set before you (Heb. 12:1). How ? Fix your eyes on Jesus (not your sin, the past, or even yourself). Jesus is the Author and Perfector of your faith (see Heb. 12:2) There is one last response that brings complete freedom . You must forgive and forget the sins of those who sinned against you. Jesus is very clear in Mattew 5:21-24 about what to do with anger toward a brother. But how do you do it ? First choose to forgive them in your heart and then God will help you work through the emotions that remain. You will not be free of the hurt if you harbor bitterness. A quick way to ruin a beautiful complexion is to hold on to an unforgiving, bitter attitude.”

This quote goes for any sin that you have done, God forgives you and He wants you to know that. If someone has sinned against you, you need to forgive them it is unhealthy to harbor anger against someone. We have all sinned and all fallen short but Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that we can be saved. So don’t let the devil fill you with condemnation, that’s not his place. God forgives you and the devil has no power over it.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

“Jesus did not call us to a passive faith. He never told us that following Him was a short cut to an easier life. The truth is that real faith in Christ requires plenty of bumps, bruises, and elbow grease. Faith is active and those God used most throughout scripture were those willing to work through their faith, making room for Him to move. In this clip from our series Get Back, Pastor Steven explains how to begin activating your faith.” http:/
A relationship with God requires work. I have been told many times “God is not a magic trick.” In James 2:26 it says “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” For instance you pray and ask God to help you get a job and you believe He will give you one, but instead of going out and filling out applications you just sit in your house waiting for someone to knock at your front door offering you one. God isn’t going to drop a job from the sky, He can but most likely you are going to have to put out effort as well as pray. God wants you to be pro active in your walk with Him, He wants you to seek Him and want to know Him. It’s like if you ask someone to be your friend and then you don’t talk to them, or care about them, or care what they think. They want to know you and you said you wanted to know them but then you don’t put any effort into knowing them. God wants to be known, He wants you to want to spend time with Him. God has a great calling on your life, but unless you seek Him for instruction and strength and put effort into your relationship with Him you are never going to acheive it. So today take time to pray and seek God’s will for your life. Ask Him to show you the things in your life that get in the way of His will for your life and ask Him to help you to be who He created you to be.
God has shown me over the past year the importance of knowing who I am in Him. To constantly seek what He says about me in His Word. God has shown me that when I depend on the acceptance of others and what others think of me is when I am my weakest. When we focus on others acceptance and opinions of us we take our focus off of God and that is never good. Our value and who we are is not found in people or things, it is only in Jesus that we can find who we are.
God wants to be known, He wants us to see who He is, and listen to Him. But most of the time we don’t take the time to seek Him, persue a stronger relationship, and listen to Him. The same thing that others do to us by not giving us some of thier time to get to know us is what we do to God whenever we don’t take time to spend with Him. When we don’t spend time with God we suffer for it because without God we will never know what our purpose is, without God we just exist, we spend our lives striving to fill a void in our hearts, we fall for the traps and the lies the enemy sets in our way, ultimately coming to ruin. God is the only one who has the answers to your questions and His way never fails. Our whole lives should be consumed by God, He should be our focus, our reason to live, the very air we breathe.
God created man and breathed in Him the breath of life. Every breath we’ve taken since is because of God. Life starts with God and it ends with God. Through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ we are forgiven of our sins and can come before God without shame, we can live knowing we are covered in the Righteousness of Christ, and through Jesus we can have a relationship with God. God showed how much He loved us whin sending His only Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. We are loved by the God of the Universe, what more could we ask for ? In seeking God I find great joy, I find more about who I am as He directs my path, and when I stay focused on Him I feel loved and accepted even when others don’t accept me.
Today let us take time to read the Bible and see what God says about us, read how Jesus says we should live and read how much He loves us, and to pray and ask God to help us live as He wants us to live and to help us overcome anything that tries to convince us that we are not worthy, not loved, or that we are alone.
May you know how much God loves you. God loves you so much that he sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins. Jesus took the punishment we deserved, He was beaten, bruised, spit on, and hung on a cross by His own creation so that He could save us from our sins. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice and in Him we are given victory over the enemy. We are given victory over our pain, our suffering, our struggles, fears, and any evil thing that tries to come against us. God can take the shattered pieces of our hearts and put them back together. God’s hand is stretched out to you through Jesus Christ. Please take it, He will change your life into something so beautiful. No matter what you’ve done God will take you in if you will give your life to Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour. When you ask for forgiveness God looks on Jesus instead of you and we are forgiven. For we are a sinful people but the Bible says in John 3:16 “For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” This is God’s promise to us. So as you go through today know that in Christ Jesus you are forgiven, know that you are loved, and know that because of Jesus the enemy can no longer point fingers at you because you belong to God.
