  • Our Identity Is Found In Jesus Quote

“The only way to find who we are is to look to Jesus, because in Him is where our identity is found.”

  • That’s What Christmas Is All About Charlie Brown” Luke 2:8-20/Man Can Not Stop God’s Word Matthew 24:35

For many years people have tried to get this part taken out of the Charlie Brown Christmas Special, but they can’t. One of the many cool things about God is that He was, is, and always will be and man can’t stop Him. There are many instances in the Bible where man tried to stop God’s will and Word from being shared among people and every single one failed because God did not allow them to succeed. God is all powerful and His will be done. Think about the birth of Jesus and how many times man tried to thwart God’s plan of Redemption for man, and how God protected Jesus. God can not be stopped, His Word will reign forever and ever. The Bible in Matthew 24:35 says:
“35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away.” So man can try as he may to get God’s Word taken out of public buildings, tv shows, and even the celebration of Christmas, churches, or the Christian heart (by trying to suppress when and where we can talk about God or pray), but God’s Word will always be and there is nothing man can do to stop it.

“That’s What Christmas Is All About Charlie Brown” Luke 2:8-20

    Luke 2:8-20
    Glory in the Highest
8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

  • God Is With You Always

God is with you always. No questions and no doubt about it, you are in His hands and He will always Love you.

    Psalm 73:23-26 NIV
    23 Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
    and my portion forever.

  • God’s Name Is Power (Accompanying Song: Power In Your Name By Casey Darnell)

There is power in Your Name,
There is Mercy, there is Grace
Where the weary soul finds rest
    In the presence of Jesus
There is love that never fails
No matter how dark my God prevails
In our weakness there is strength
    In the presence of Jesus

The line ” There is love that never fails
No matter how dark my God prevails
In our weakness there is strength
    In the presence of Jesus”
really hits home for me and I’m sure for many others it does too. There have been times where I felt so lost and asked God why, but in those times God was with me. I learned that we don’t always have to know why and we don’t always have to see straight ahead, but we always have to trust God to lead us. He showed me how weak I truely am but how strong He is, how I don’t always know where to go, but He does. No matter how lost and dark it seemed God brought me through victorious. God is faithful to those who follow Him and no matter how bad things seem God is working on your behalf.

  • God Does Not Work Outside Of His Word

God does not work outside of His Word.

Hebrews4:11-13 “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (NIV)
