  • Future Generations Life

I am pro-life because I believe that every life is precious and every life has purpose to God. Every baby that was aborted had a call had a reason that God sent them and man decided that their plans were more important, decided that their plans were worth the cost of a baby’s life. It’s selfish and the price is too high. Every baby deserves the chance to be born, to live, to grow, to love. God is a pro creative God and abortion is anti-creation. It is wrong and it needs to be stopped. There are woman believing the lies of organizations like Planned Parenthood. These women need to be taught the truth and shown the evils of it. For the women who have already fallen into it and had an abortion they need to know of God’s forgiveness and the voice that they can have to stop abortion and save the future generations. We can’t change what happened already but we can change today and we can change the future. I believe in the future generations, I believe in life. There is a generation of babies that will not be because of the choices made yesterday, but if we take a stand for the babies today if we stand for their lives and their chance at life, we Will be the change. We will be the generation that chooses Life over death. We will be the generation that stops abortion. We can save the future generations. We are all God’s children the born and the unborn.

  • Showing Jesus’ Love/Giving All Year Round (Accompanying Song: My Own Little World By Matthew West)

Every year around Christmas time we stop thinking only of ourselves and take the time to give, to love, to hope. I’ve been told by someone very close to me that “Although we may not think about it, what changes at Christmas time that is different throughout the year is that we not only give but we focus all of our attention on Jesus. We focus on Jesus, on giving, on helping others who need it. Our attention is no longer on ourselves but as it should be showing the love of Jesus and thinking of others before ourselves.”

At Christmas time we focus on Jesus (all of our time and attention is on God), we worship Him through Christmas songs (about the birth of Jesus and His Holiness), we think of others before ourselves(giving gifts to others and truly thinking about who they are as a person and what we know about them), we have generous hearts (wanting to give and seeing the joy on the persons’ face is thanks enough, not expecting anything in return), and we go the extra mile to show love to others(volunteering at food drives, donating jackets, baking meals at soup kitchens etc.). We don’t realize the impact we are making at Christmastime. Christmastime shows us how much better our lives, our attitudes, and our impact can be if we would focus on Jesus and following His commands. What would it be like if we lived like this all year round ? Think about all of the opportunities we miss to show Jesus’ love to others because we are not focused on Him.

So this year after Christmas is over and the new year comes I challenge you to focus on Jesus and your relationship with Him, what He has done for you, give to those in need not just in things but in time and by showing you care. Even if you feel like you have nothing to offer give what you have (sharing the love of Jesus, friendship, taking time to listen to someone who needs to know they are heard, helping someone with a task or chore, etc.) It’s the little things that we say and do that may not seem like much, that mean the world to someone else.

  • What It Means To Love (Accompanying Song: Love Never Fails By Brandon Heath)

    1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Do we really understand what love is and what it means to love ? This is a question that at some point or another we all have to ask ourselves. In our morally corrupt and wicked society we are taught to care only for oneself and if you do love, then love is taught to be selfish, cheap, and fleeting. It’s easy to forget what God says about love and what it takes to truly love one another. It’s important to remind ourselves that unlike in the movies; love takes true sacrifice, it takes understanding, it takes commitment, but most importantly it takes God. In order to love others we must first know what and Who Love is. God is love and without Him there is none and to know how to truly love someone we must know God. We can not love if we don’t know God because God is the perfect love that we all need. The Love that deep down in the core of our hearts we all long for. Only God can fill the voids in our hearts and fulfill all of our needs. God never meant for anyone or anything other than Him to fill that void and yet we constantly try to fill it with other things or people. The thing is, when we fill it with things, we are never satisfied. When we fill it with people we will always be disappointed because just as we are human so are they, and so they can not complete that portion of your heart that was meant for God. God does not disappoint, His love is unconditional, it is perfect, and just when we think we don’t deserve anymore of His love He always has more love to give. That’s the great thing about God He’s always there and He’s always listening, He knows what you need and He knows when you need it, He comforts, protects, and He gave us the Ultimate sacrifice. By Adam and Eve sinning man was separated from God because God is perfect and He can not sin. So to Redeem man God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and take the punishment that we deserve. The penalty for sin is death, but by Jesus coming and having never sinned He died on the cross, rose again on the third day, and then ascending into Heaven He made the perfect sacrifice for our sins, and by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour you are saved from eternal separation from God. This is what True Love Is. True Love is “patient, it is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” So whenever you start to wonder what love is think of the sacrifice God made by sending His only Son to die for you and that He did it because He loves you that much. God loves us so much, that He came down here Himself and fixed the mess that we made, because He doesn’t want any of His creation to be separated from Him. It says in the Bible that God wants “that none should perish.” You are loved by a God who made you for a purpose and a plan, you are not and accident or a mistake God loves all of His children and has a plan for each and everyone. Don’t let anyone or anything ever convince you otherwise.

  • Nothing Can Separate You From God’s Love

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

    Romans 8:37-39
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am
convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:1-11 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

1 John 3:1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

  • God’s Name Is Power (Accompanying Song: Power In Your Name By Casey Darnell)

There is power in Your Name,
There is Mercy, there is Grace
Where the weary soul finds rest
    In the presence of Jesus
There is love that never fails
No matter how dark my God prevails
In our weakness there is strength
    In the presence of Jesus

The line ” There is love that never fails
No matter how dark my God prevails
In our weakness there is strength
    In the presence of Jesus”
really hits home for me and I’m sure for many others it does too. There have been times where I felt so lost and asked God why, but in those times God was with me. I learned that we don’t always have to know why and we don’t always have to see straight ahead, but we always have to trust God to lead us. He showed me how weak I truely am but how strong He is, how I don’t always know where to go, but He does. No matter how lost and dark it seemed God brought me through victorious. God is faithful to those who follow Him and no matter how bad things seem God is working on your behalf.
