    Isaiah 40:6-8 (NIV)
6 A voice says, “Cry out.”
And I said, “What shall I cry?”
    “All people are like grass,
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
7 The grass withers and the flowers fall,
because the breath of the Lord blows on them.
    Surely the people are grass.
8 The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever.”

No matter what it is, God does not change based on the culture. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His Word stands forever and His Truth surpasses the horizons.
Sin is still sin, it doesn’t matter how you mask it. Whether we are talking about same sex marriage, lying, stealing, coveting, gluttony, etc. we all sin and it’s all wrong to God. Just because a culture says it’s not changes nothing. It’s like saying that a door made completely of wood is not made out of wood. You can say it all you want, you can believe it all you want, but it doesn’t change the fact that the door is still made of wood. It’s like saying a push door is not a push door. The sign says push and all evidence points to it being a push door, but you say it’s a pull door. You can say it’s a pull door, you can wish it’s a pull door, you can believe it’s a pull door, you can try to change the sign and pull with all your might declaring it is a pull door but at the end of the day you can not change the fact that it is a push door.
It will never pull in it will only ever push out.

The same with our culture, sin, and God’s Word. The culture can say that God’s Word is wrong, it can say that sin is not sin, it can change it’s laws, and disobey but it can not change what God’s Word says is sin into a socially acceptable norm with no repercussions.

If society says “Stealing is ok. I mean some people have an urge to steal, some people really want something without paying for it therefore they should have the right to just take it.” If society changed the law to make stealing legal would that really make it ok? No, it changes nothing. It’s still wrong and still hurtful to yourself and to others.

The point is that while we do not have the right to say who goes to heaven and who goes to hell God did give us guidance in His Word to direct us from the things that can harm us. God corrects us for our own good. As Christians we can not deny these Truths, they are for our own good. Like I said we all sin and we all have things to work on but we can not let our culture go down the tubes by staying silent. We must resolve within ourselves that God’s Word is Truth and stand in our beliefs and let no one sway us.

God loves everybody, God loves me. Yet God never tippy toes around telling me when I’m messing up. God corrects me when I’m wrong because He loves me. If He didn’t love me He’d let me continue down a destructive path. God loves me enough to tell me the truth, even if it offends me. Trust me when I’m in the wrong state of mind God will correct me and in my rebellious state I sometimes get offended but in the end I realize I was wrong and God’s correction is for my own good. The Truth is offensive but it’s Life giving and Life saving.

At some point we must all come to the place of Joshua 24:14-15 (NIV)
14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Jesus is the only way and His way is freedom, His way is life. Leaders do not change this, nations do not change this, cultures do not change this.

At the end of the day we can not sacrifice Truth at the Altar of offense.
